  • Why i am facing too slow browsing speed?

  • Question: On my system [ WinXP ] i can download anything from net @ 200 kBps, but when it comes to browsing my speed does not go above 30 kBps [ be it IE, FF, Chrome or Opera ]. Pages loads very slowly. When i view any video on sites like youtube even then the transfer rate it not more then 30 kBps. Why there is such partiality in downloading and browsing? Is there some setting i have to do?

The signal strength is very intermittent and sometimes even non existent.   • Question: I have used firefox for a long time. When i switched on the otherday the screen was full of small boxes with icons inthem and various wordings. about 35 of these boxes.   • Question: My toshiba laptop won't turn on and when I plug it into the wall still nothing, no lights, no sound and I know for a fact that the power cord is fine it was just used on another toshiba the other day. It just recently had a new motherboard put in so im not sure what happened to it... It was left at a friends house for a couple days and when i got it back nothing. It's been about 7 months since it was last turned on because i could not find the power cord to check it. Please help!

  • Question: We just installed the epson stylis color 740 printer driver to our imac a1312 computer...but now we are having problems with the imac not seeing the new hardware...and imac does'nt allow us-- in the control panel to search for the new hardware...I am not and expert in macs. We have the printer cord connected and both tools are on. also, We know the driver software installed correctly because we have the driver software icons are on the imac screen.

  • Question: Im trying to install Flight Simulator FSX on my computer with windows XP, its connected to my television, no other programs are installed, its just suppose to be used to play games on. I keep getting a error message: it says the following: Error - 1603 Fatal Error during installation; Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information. What does all this mean and where do I get answers to these questions? Thanks Terry

  • Question: I have a dell Inspiron 1545 and its crashed, when i go to turn it off it says "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\hal.dll. It says to please re-install a copy of the file but the only disks i got with my computer was a Roxio Creater re-install, a application disk for re-installing Cyberlink PowerDVD and a Windows XP and Windows Vista re-install (I tried to re-install Windows XP but it freezes). I don't have the money to go have someone fix my computer is there anything i can do to fix it. And if there is explain in details in not a computer person. Thanks to anyone who can help.

  • Question: I want to reinstall XP so my son can use the computer just for gaming. We want to hook it up to a TV. The disk is XP SP2 and we've updated to SP3. I assume we will need to do the SP2 then go to Microsoft and get the SP3 pack. Do we need to do anything else like reinstall drivers or similar?

  • Question: Í'm just wondering if it is possible for someone to "steal/see" my cookies? I have a suspicsion on someone who is tracing my cookies/outlook express but when I do a virus scan nothing shows up. Is it possible that this person can take over my administrator rights and use my name so no traces are left? I really think this person is using my administrator and blocking his traces. If this is possible, can I find out forsure?

  • Is my video card shot, or is it something else?

  • Question: Hello, my name is Sam, I have a custom made computer that is running 64-bit Vista on it, and for the past week or so, I've been getting this error. My screen will turn off, then on again, and it says this "atikmdag has stopped working and has successfully recovered". It only started out by just doing that, but as time went on, it got worse and worse, sometimes the monitor would turn off and not even turn back on again without me having to reboot my computer entirely. By now it's gotten so bad that my screen is full of flickery lines and colored things, like, static or something. I had somebody come in and look at it, and he tried uninstalling and then reinstalling my video card + drivers, but nothing worked. I've tried dozens of other things, but so far I can only run my computer with its basic video drivers. I can't even enable my Radeon x1550 display adapter in device manager in the control panel at all without it instantly BSODing, or freezing. I'm about at the end of my rope with this, and the only 2 options my family and friends have been able to come up with is either to get a new video card, or a whole new computer altogether. My Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.51 ghz 3 gigs of RAM

  • Electrical "poping" @ turn on

  • Question: I'm running a Dell 2400 computer, with XP Professional. I have an Altec Lansing bass booster tied into an ILive system for my sound. Everything is routed into a five channel distribution box with a master switch. That unit plugs into a surge protector and then to a UPS box. Anytime something is turned on elsewhere in the house such as the air conditionining or washing machine, I get a "pop" over the speakers. Can anyone give me a solution. I have an ultra-slim flourescent light stand on the same circuit right over my computer which has always made a "pop" when started, but now everything else makes a sound as well. Any solutions?   • Buying a laptop

  • Question: I am a student about to start university this September in a few weeks time. I would like a laptop that is quite quick, fairly reliable, decent battery life, has good storage capacity and good processor. I will be using it to do all of my assignments, and possibly taking it with me in to university so maybe not too heavy.I may watch dvd's, videos and also play a few games.   • Is it possible to recover a low level format that was interrupted

  • Question: Hi I made a stupid mistake and started low level formatting an external (USB) hard drive using windows 7 starter thinking it was a small partition on the laptop drive (I couldn't see the contents of the drive on windows 7!!). A few minutes into this process I realised I was formatting my external hard drive and pulled the USB plug. I plugged the external drive back into my old computer which uses vista and obviously I can't read this drive properly now (presumably because the partition is screwed up). I have heard that the low level format process should take a while (and I was trying to format a 1000GB hard drive) so is there any way I can rebuild and recover some of the data on this drive? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
