Question: I built a new computer last March and bought 2 MSI 8600GT's (512 meg)for 50 trillion dollars after installing Zalman cooling fans. But now im reading a spec sheet for a factory over clocked 9800GTX G92 core(1 GIG) and realized just one unit would blow my SLI set up out of the water for way less. Only problem is the New Cards are PCI-E 2.0 which i know is backward compatible, but im concerned that with the slower X16 bus the card won't be able to preform very well. The PCI-E bus speed is adjustable in BIOS though. MOBO ASUS M2N 570 SLI DELUXE and the PS has the required 2x6 pin connectors. Is it worth the swap? With the 2 12v fans on the 8600's they consume alot of power, are loud as hell, and look like something of a Jawa crawler.

Question: Accidentally left the computer on overnight (which I never do). Computer was still running when I went to use the computer in the morning but the monitor was in idle mode (I have stand by disabled). I turned the computer off by the button and rebooted, the computer turns on fine but the monitor gets no signal, the light just stays yellow. All the other components appear to be running fine, all fans spin, and the HDD appears to be running, there's just no display going to the monitor. I think that when using an LCD monitor, darker scenes are more visible. Is this true? Are LCD monitors better that way than CRT monitors?

Question: I have a Dell XPS 410 with a Duo Core 2.4ghz processor and 4 gb RAM. I have a primary 320gb hard drive that came with the PC. I just installed a Western Digital 1tb black caviar hard drive to serve a second, separate internal drive. After getting it formatted, I transferred a bunch of data from the primary drive to this new drive as a test. I found that the transfer speed is averaging around 28 mb/sec. Question: I've been using AOL9 Broadband with BT Voyager 105 Modem, for years & then it started to run so slowly that i phoned them. They said I must download AOL9VR, although I have XP not Vista. Afetr doing that, AOL wouldn't open and seized up my computer. After 6 hours on the phone to their technbical dept in Delhi, they got me to remove AOL completely and then reinstall with Aol CD, again & again, also resetting internet connections & things through Registry & i dunno what, and now AOL still doesn't work. I keep getting pop ups saying that the AOL Connectivity Service isn't running, but I can connect to the internet by DialBB by going through through Network Connections, but is there any way i can remove Aol9VR from my laptop and still connect to Internet via DialBB? Question: My computer crashed and when I turn it on it comes up with a blank blue screen and a message in the upper left corner of the screen: "unknown hard error". If I shut it off and reboot, it will then allow me to run in safe mode but usually shuts down again after 3 to 5 minutes of running that way.
