Missing drivers from a freeby computer

I was given a "brick" computer that was donated to my work. My computer had died, and used the XP disk I had purchased for the dead computer. Trouble is the drivers for sound card and CDROMs are no there. I am at a loss with all the net sites as how to have the computer diagnose and then me get the drivers I need. The computers were supposed to be a gift from a local school district...but they stripped the computers before giving them to us. They never thought about calling MS and getting the licenses switch....any way...can you assist or guide me. Thanks, Lori
