SpyWare Overview
The fastest way to keep your computer running fast is to avoid installing certain programs
. Most computers that are infected with Spyware come from installing some third-party 'free' program. Many programs will try and offer some sort of functionality for free, i.e. Screen Savers, Pictures, Music, etc. However once you install these free programs you may inadvertently be installing SpyWare programs that once installed create pop up ads on your computer and slow down performance dramatically. Most SpyWare programs don't just stop there, they often time install even more programs. Be very careful when letting other people use your computer. Just accidentally installing one program can let many others install as well, also be sure you have the latest virus protection and that is updated to the latest definitions.
